Kylie White

In the Author's Words

It is my pleasure to introduce you to Kylie White, a thirty-ish, divorced, single mom, who also just happens to be a decorated United States Border Patrol agent. She has a college education (not needed to be an agent), is a caring sister, and (relatively) tolerant of her old-fashioned mother.

Seasoned and highly skilled, Kylie was recently appointed to the U.S. Border Patrol’s Search, Trauma, and Rescue (BORSTAR) team, a specialized unit of volunteer agents selected from a nationwide pool to undergo rigorous fitness, medical, and rescue training to find and save agents and civilians.

In VALLEY OF THE SHADOW, the first novel in the series, Kylie has returned home to tiny Garrett, Maine. She says she found life on the southern border, “great for an agent, not so great for a single mom.” So—for her six-year-old Tommy—she has returned to Maine’s northern-most region, Aroostook County, seeking a slower, safer pace. Things get complicated because her arrogant ex-husband thinks she has come back for him. In the midst of that, a routine drug bust places Kylie squarely in the middle of an international baby-smuggling ring.

I sincerely hope you enjoy reading about Kylie White as much as I enjoy writing about her.
